The only person who could split the defence apart, now we are missing him. Gerrards long balls are not going to carry us trough.

Alonso is influential, twice the play of Mascherano imo.

yes we are missing him a lot imo. as well as agger. but masch is still a great dm tho.
i would just like to maybe give this midfield a go

---------alonso---masch-----
pennant--------------------babel

---------------gerrard--------

-------------torres-------

torres is used to playing in a 1 man attack and done it well in madrid with a lot less quality. just want rafa to try it ONCE and see how it goes.

I don't like the idea of putting Torres by him self. Can he do it alone?

Yeah but he came back alot and had to look for runs which he didn't like at Madrid. When he came to Liverpool he said he is glad he is in his deep striker role, if we play him by him self he can't possibly play deep.

(P.S Great to have another Pool fan on here!) :thumb:

He hadnt been playing that well this season, but he certainly brings a calming influence on the side.
