Chelsea are concerned Frank Lampard could be a disruptive influence following the dismissal of Jose Mourinho and are prepared to sell the midfielder, with Real Madrid lining up a £9m bid when the transfer window opens in January. The agent of Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has warned that his client may leave the club, following the acrimonious exit of former manager Joe Mourinho. Drogba's agent, Etienne Mendy "Drogba is a player who is very desirable and I have received calls from some European clubs about the situation. |

I think they will go to Spain but not in the January transfer window - they'd both be CL cup tied Next Summer more likely. |

If he dies, He dies!

There was an article in The Express lonnnng before Mourinho Left saying that Lampard playing In spain is exactly what England need, Someone to pick up continental influences. I remember them saying they thought he would go in the next year and I was like - pfffft nope. Huzzah for a paper getting lucky! |

Yeah it would be better if more English players had experience of other countries. Most of the top teams have a number of players playing in other leagues than the one for the country they are born in. I think that Drogba will definitely be gone before the start of next season and he's already talked about going even when Mourinho was there. Not sure about Lampard. |

My gut feeling is that they will both leave. I don't think they'll go anywhere though until the summer as they'd be cup tied for the CL. |

very unlikely in January, especially as there will/should definately be in the last 16 in Europe, you'd have to think though they will be major commings & goings at the Bridge next summer, not just involving Lamps & Drogba... |

Could another reason be their age, wot are they now both 29? One last pay day move. A lot of players do that these days? |

drogba will definately go at the end of the season |
| Manchester = 50% United, 31% City, 19% the rest. Manchester is RED. Always has been. | |

It's bad enough not having English players coming through the ranks but getting rid of them is worse, particularly a player like Lampard. |

Good point. The experience abroad would be a benefit to the national team though. |

Same here, don't get me wrong. It's just that I think he would become better playing elsewhere, same with alot of the players. When they are taken out of their comfort zone and all that... |
