I think he would as well and it's not like City don't have the money for him. I'm surprised that he didn't buy him in the Summer when he had the £9m release clause.

Somebody at Newcastle has confirmed that Owen's release clause has been removed. It looks like it will be easier for them to keep hold of him then or command a higher fee.
