I've heard some crazy links but in recent times it would be Ronaldinho. Pele was offered to come to Utd but he would have been homesick or somethin |

Essien would have been a revelation at OT me thinks. I also think Robben would have got on better at OT than he did at the Bridge. SAF doesnt make many errors in the market so ill let him off this time lol

I know but i meant the players who we were actually in talks with i.e Robben, Essien who turned us down. How did i forget about Ronaldinho I think Essien would have slotted in perfectly after Keanos departure, gutted he didnt come I didnt know that about Pele, that would have been amazing |

Yeah all three of the ones you mentioned would have been ideal and all could play together in the same team as well. It's a shame that they didn't want to come.

ya essien has done wonders for chelsea...i'd take him anyday over hargreaves or carrick at utd...to bad we didn't get him
diarra was our second option and we missed out on him as well, i think he woulda done better in england than he's doing in spain, but oh well too late now. i'm actually glad we didn't get ronaldinho, because ronaldo is so much better than him, and now hes getting lazy or doesn't have the same ability as he did before. maybe hes burned out from playing too many games for brazil and barca?

Yeah Essien is probably the most complete player in the league at the moment. He has a bit of everything to his game. I had completely forgotten about Diarra! Not heard anything about him since he went to Madrid which means he mustn't be doing too well. |

Haha yeah, not a chance now. His fee would be sky high, only Chelsea could afford that realistically if he did want to move. Wow you was up early, time difference? |

Isn't Raga in the US, if so on the East Coast he's 5 hours behind, therefore his posting was 10.05pm last night for him. The further West he might be he could be even earlier, California is 8 hours behind which would be 7.05pm |
