This is normally a good match for United and one where we pick up three points. I think i'm right in saying that United have picked up more points away to Villa than at any other ground outside of Old Trafford. However, Villa are much improved this season and have already beaten Chelsea at home and were unlucky to lose to Liverpool. The form: Aston Villa home record: Played 5, Won 4, Drawn 0, Lost 1. For 8, against 3. Manchester United away record: Played 4, Won 2, Drawn 1, Lost 1. For 3, against 2. Head to head matches in the last 5 years, United have won all 4. Lets have your teams and predictions. <_<

It's not looking too good for United based on this season's stats is it? I'm tempted to say a draw as well. Plus it's an evening game and we never do any good in them. |

Why do you think that will affect the players? Because they will want O'Neill to stay?

Very funny Norwich!Yeah they are looking a completely different team this season and have the perfect balance in midfield now and 4 young English players there. I'm looking forwards to the contest between Agbonlahor and Evra. |

I would come out with my...this thread...it's all balls!.....of the crystal variety! again, but I won't! Whoops, I did! I've never been a confident fan, I never say oh United will win this or that game. I use the word 'should' which doesn't reflect certainty. Villa at Villa Park is a tougher fixture now than it has been for years. Nearly all Utd's best players have been on international duty, with, as Homer says, Tevez picking loads of air miles too. This is a tough call, I think it will be workmanlike and half expect a draw but hope for a win. If Utd aren't too drained and can play more like they did against Wigan, then we should win. If Utd play like they have in previous games to that one, we could even lose. AArgh. :ph43r: |

Yeah I agree with this, we still don't know what United will tur up because Villa are a class above Wigan and we hadn't been playing well at all before that. United's only goals conceded this season have come on the road too. Agbonlahor and Young will be difficult to contain. I'm looking forward to the duel between Agbonlahor and Evra if he is played on the wing. |
