they reckon theres a good chance he will make it Just as good news is that Alonso is rated 50/50 at the moment, might not make it back for the derby but at least he is back soon

Aye that's good news for you. I think that Mash and Gerrard would have been preferred for this match anyway. |

Wow, i'd completely forgotten about him! It seems like ages since i've seen him play. One of their main creative players as well. At least he shouldn't be that match fit Jimmy. |

even on the bench I reckon it will boost the team, he's a damn good player cahill. Just wish he'd give up that bloody boxing with the corner flag celebration, its almost as bad as Heskey's Dj'ing

lol I bet that you are hoping to not see that tomorrow. <_< Yeah great player, a good goal-scorer from midfield too, something which they have been lacking. |

i hope torres will be fit and ready! cahill better not be as IF he scores i got to watch his goal celebration and that PIS**S me off!! gerrard needs a game like this right now to kick start his season. he needs to deliver and shut all these doubters up. |

2-1 everton. they're very tough to beat at goodison and with liverpool faultering slightly in the last few games i think they'll just fall short. |

Everton should do alright if they have Yobo and Lescott in the middle. That's their best centre back pairing but he sometimes plays Stubbs there and Lescott at left back. Do you think that we will see the best from Gerrard tomorrow? |

Well Tores isn't fit. So Vorrin is partnering Kuyt up front, not sure if this will work.

I don't see why not. Voronin is a good player from what i've seen of him and Kuyt will do all the donkey work upfront. How come you're not sure if it will work? Prefer Crouch? |

really gutted about torres! but imo voronin hasn't started enough, he needs time on the pitch as from what i've seen of him has been better than crouch and kuyt so far. any news on xabi>? i know he has been training tues, wed and thursday. as torres is not fit to play can i change my strikers to score this weekend? :P |

Voronin looks a really good finisher, if he gets the service then he will do well today. Jimmy said that Alonso was 50/50 the other day so he should be back soon. Probably too big a game to get him back into the swing of things anyway. Yeah sure Kopite so long as you change before the game kicks off. |

Shame about Torres but glad its Voronin playing, he's damn strong and we need players that can stand up to crunching tackles in the Derby, I have a feeling he could be our key player. Gerrards out on the right by the look of it with both Masch and Sissoko playing centre so Rafa is obviously thinking about protecting the back four. Looking at it I think he's got the team right in the abscence of Torres and Alonso... The team in full is: Reina, Riise, Finnan, Hyypia, Carragher, Benayoun, Mascherano, Gerrard, Sissoko, Voronin, Kuyt. Subs: Itandje, Crouch, Pennant, Babel, Lucas Everton not starting McFadden and playing Jags in the centre is a bit of a surprise, dont think Jags playing there is the best idea but Moyes obviously has a plan. shame not to see two full strength squads really, gonna be very tight this with a lot of midfield play..... howard hibbo yobo stubbs lescott neville jags arteta osmann anichebe yakubu ---------------------------------- wessels/baines/pienaar/carsley/mcfadden |
