on leaving Eastlands yesterday, it kicked of , birmingham city (my second club)fans started strikin out at city fans, one horse head tried to have a go at my son, whos 13 and very placid, i bloo my top and grabbed the sausage , as i was escorting him in to the arms of a police man my fist slipped and catched him in the face, as he hit the floor he must have damaged his head , my lad was frightened half to death, i wasn't gonna let anyone have a go at my lad , hes 13 the guy that had a go at him was in his mid 20s , when city play at birmingham i will be going and I'm not sure i will be able to hold my temper if i see the same guy!. I'm sure most DADS would feel the same, and maybe reacted the same way,i don't feel geed about what i did, but feel i had no other option, he didn't manage to touch my lad, but that's only because i was there, and that alone scares me, he tends to go to games with his mates, we had arranged to meet up after the game and if i was two minutes later , i dont want to think of what may of happened. |

i know loads of blues fans and most are really decent fans(i lived in brum for a few years in the 70s) i still keep in touch with a few of them, i phoned one of them yesterday , he was so apologetic , he offered to meet up when we play at saint andrews so i said we would love to meet up, its been a few years since we last had a chat and a drink so it should be a good time, hes got a son the same age so maybe my son can make a new friend, even though hes sayin hes too scares to go at the minuet, I'm sure come the day he'll be up for it. |

I totally agree with you mate, you've got to protect your family first and foremost,im just surprised you showed so much restraint. What kind of idiot thinks its a great idea to pick a fight with a 13 year old kid |
