Mark Clattenburg has been removed for this weekend games, is this the right thing to do, because when it happened earlier this season in the Liverpool vs Chelsea game, there was a lot of support for the ref. |

Homer said: "Good he was a disgrace on Saturday." Yes completely the right decision, he made a total hash of the major decisions in the match. The ref was banned after the Liverpool v Chelsea game? |

Lot of the media said it was wrong to ban Rob Styles earlier on in the season. |

Ah right. I think they got that one right too. The referees should be held accountable for their actions as like in any other profession where somebody cocks up... |

I do agree, but i also feel that Clubs, and that includes managers & players should do more to help them out. |

Hmmm how would the clubs and managers help them out? By not having a go at them? I don't think the players will help them out much because at the end of the day they are just out for the best for their own club. Saying that, I did hear something on MOTD this week about somebody not getting booked after the fouled player told the ref not to book him. |

The fact is most teams have got players that dive, or at least make the most of things. If teams cut the cheating out of the game it would make it far easier for the refs, we obviously still need passion and controversy, or it would be boring. |

Yeah, it's a bit of a no win situtation though because as long as the players get decisions going in their favour when they dive, they will carry on doing it. |

Fans wont like this but i feel that diving should be a straight red card, occasionally the ref will get it wrong, and someone would have been sent off when they didnt do anything wrong. But surely players will certainly think twice before going down. |

For an absolute blatent dive then yes a red card but if the refereee is unsure then they should have the option to give a yellow or no card. That would solve that problem.

If it had been a Chelsea game and they had benefited then we'd have seen threads about it. |
