You could turn that around and say that he must be good enough to find the space/create space in the first place to have seven shots. Yeah no singling out Skid, other people said they rated Lampard too.

Lampard is not overrated, if anything he gets too much stick, especially when playing for England, which is un fair as it isn't always him giving the poor performance, something that annoys me, because England fans tend to pick names and have a go at certain players rather than the team itself, which is surely most in question! As for Lampard, as a general player, I'd say he's world class and one of the best midfielders England have, maybe just behind Gerrard however (although Gerrard is going through a rough patch). This can be backed up with the stats, twenty goals a season who chips in with goals almost most weeks. Okay, so he hasn't had a great season in front of goal so far but it has been a turbulent start so far. Lampard is creative, can pick out players, not as well as Gerrard, I'd admit, but he has a talent for it. Unfortunately I feel that his confidence as been low so as such he isn't showing this on the pitch, he certainly has the ability for it. And lastly, Lampard is a true professional, remember, he nearly plays every game for Chelsea, until recently at least, but that's due to a number of things..Injury..Team Shuffling etc. Lampard played, what? 110, 120 games in a row, without missing one single match, that has to be commended. So, to basically conclude, what Lampard lacks at the moment is confidence, once that's back, then I don't think anybody could rightly say he isn't world class. HOMER, you are entitled to your opinion, unfortunately it's the wrong one. |

Good read Klaas. He does the job that he is meant too for Chelsea which is to score goals and support the striker so it's a job well done as far as i'm concerned. |

Homer, why start a poll and then immediately jam tart anyone off who is not prepared to agree with you? There's a fundamental flaw running right through this thread. tbh it's better than those who ask a question, wait for people to answer honestly and then jam tart them off because their opinion differs. |

I never said anything about Skid all I said was hes a good player does his job well and scores plenty of goals but Wesley Snijder scores goals, Hunntelaar scores a million goals a season but they are not world class either but hey people can have their opinion albeit a strange one but thats life. |
