Me too I think, you can only  take so much and they are 10 games in and should be doing way better. I was all for giving him more time a few weeks ago but this bad start seems to have gone on forever.

I don't think they are having a bad start they just haven't got the chemistry and balance in the team like last season. Jol has filled up attack but forgot about midfield and defence, leaveing Spurs fruitless.

I had a topic exactly the same yesterday. <_<

Flak, the thread killer! :P

lol Yeah. :P

I agree with your post, he's concentrated too much on strikers where they already had 3 very good ones and they still have no proper wingers other than Lennon and maybe Bale, plus nobody to replace King when he gets injured.

Do you think Jol is giving his all though after what the board did to him?

If I was the board I would try my hardest to sack him right now, he's obviously going nowhere with the team and results aren't improving.

Evening Kopite. :P

Yeah Spurs were meant to be terrible and Newcastle had hit the bar before they scored, it said Spurs were lucky to still be at 0-0 when I read Teletext.

Who would they get in to replace Jol? That Ramos guy? Sevilla aren't doing too well I don't think.

As long as they go for a forgien manager that still sort the sqaud out. I think Ramos would do a good job. Don't bother with a British manager though, I always had a feeling they didn't have such a tactial mind.

They probably will get a foreign manager as no decent British ones are available. There's nothing up with British managers. :P

Can't explain what's gone wrong but Jol has been brilliant for them. He's raised their performance and expectation levels such that it seems he's going to have to pay for it himself. Wierd and sad IMO.

spurs's problem is they have no backbone im sorry jol really hasnt a clue at the min. i know i shouldnt tell a manager about tactics but if ur struggling u don't keep playing 4-4-2 u change to 4-5-1 to stem the goals conceded then build on that yet jol is tryimg to play his open 4-4-2. spurs will end in mid table this season. also jenas and zakora is not the answer. it would be if they had huddlestone anchoring them doe

Interesting that you recommend 4-5-1 but the huge problem he has now is 4 quality strikers, 2 being played and 1 on the bench (and Defoe spectating), playing 4-5-1 will create more striker unrest.

defence has creaked without King, midfield lacks creativity without Lennon.

Jol knows that whatever happens they want Ramos next season (he can't now get 4th place which keeps him in his job). Ramos isn't available until next season so then you are left with firing him and having to get someone in until the end of the season. Which seasoned managers are available?....if none then Jol keeps his job a little longer, at least he finally dropped Robinson last night (didn't he?)

robinson was injured. regardless of having 4 strikers u can see spurs are crying out for a solid midfield which only a 5 man midfield can bring with their light weight midfield. i think spurs really blew it in the summer they needed a top central midfielder

You might be right, but with Spurs' summer activity I was one of those predicting bigger things for them, ie top 4 instead of Arsenal. How wrong was I? (Homer this question is rhetorical, you don't have to answer! )

Robinson injured..minor injury IMO allows him to be reseted without losing face
