Did anyone else watch it last night? Just confirmed what most people know about FIFA and the in-house corruption going on. The organisation needs a major troubleshooter to go in and give it a good clear out, install a new board and start again. |

What is the actual problem with Fifa? What are they doing wrong? |

Backhanders, buying and selling votes (e.g. when voting on the venue for major tournaments). The Trinidad and Tobago team were awarded circa £500 each for participating in the World Cup by their FIFA rep (a Mr. Warner). The amount he said the country had been given for their participation was about 1% of the actual figure. I think we can guess where the rest went. Shaka Hislop was interviewed and he and the other players consulted with a solicitor, and they complained to FIFA. Their response was that Mr. Warner would need to judge for himself whether or not he is guilty of any wrongdoing. There is also evidence of forging documents (Blatter is at the centre of it) during a switch of sponsorship between major credit card companies. |

Man, that's bad, only problem is that it looks like there is no problem from the outside. So who is going to bother to do anything? |

The T & T players need to take out a civil action, not sure if they've done that. The forging of documents though is very evident and that is a matter for criminal law, it's fraudulent, there should be no problem in bringing forward a prosecution, but something tells me it won't happen. They appear to be untouchable. |

It doesn't surprise me in the slightest and especially not when you mentioned Warner after all of the shite that he's come out with about the English game. They will just be able to carry on as though nothing has happened. Same really! |
