I thought that we would have a change from discussing attacking players so who do you think is the best defender in the Premiership and why? What's that coming over the hill is it Nemanja? |

Twas tough, between Vidic and Carvalho. I picked Vidic because hes great in the air, great tackler and always faces the ball (except when play Man City and Geovanni has the ball <_< ) and is great in the opposition box. |

Oh bummer, I forgot Carvalho and I actually rate him more than Terry. Yes I agree with Vidic too, he will soon be an OT legend if he carries on with his commanding performances. He seems to be really consistent too and has a bit of everything. If you don't agree with them 4 choose "Other". I didn't leave anybody out. I don't think Taylor is near the level of those 4 in the poll yet bilt0n. He is very good but he can't even get in the Newcastle team.

Terry for me, yes he has been a little out of sorts lately but I still think he is the best central defender out there at the moment. He has excellent command of his area and generally his defensive play is second to nonoe. He's been a bit of an arrogant chicken of late but thats not to take away from his skills.... I notice most have picked from their own team so far........ |

Can't help it if we have the best lol. Terry is a bit too slow for my liking. One of the best at attacking the ball though. |

Yes Dunne is very good too, also Micah Richards who kept us out this season. How many did you want me to put in the poll?

Well I'm not gonna be bias (I know it's a first), but I have to say JOHN TERRY. He's had so so so so so so many single handed match winning performances against top teams in the premiership but also top teams in the champions league. The games against Barca spring to mind. AND he's the only centre back who gets away with hand ball in the box
