i cant believe ten games in the papers are talking about his sacking,i understand our poor cl performances ,but lets look at the positives we are still in the title race(ok its only october) and we have new players that we have yet to see the best of plus i think we have a potential world class striker in torres, and we are still unbeaten in the league, even myself at times i have questioned his team selection but sacking him would be a grave mistake |

Yeah a manager yesterday (think it was Big Sam) called for some common sense from owners after all of the early sackings this season (Mourinho, Lee, Jol). They have all gone mad, there's only so many trophies to win in a season.

manage a top team is a tough job but i think rafa is digging is own grave by not having a reguler first 11 and keep the faith in the rotation. its worked in spain but i dont think he can win the title that way |

Well it's obvious they're talking about his sacking. He has led Liverpool out of the CL, yet they're 'the invincible's of Europe'. And now he decides to rest Torres in the league in order to be fit for the Carling Cup? |

I don't think that he has much option but to drop Torres quite regularly this season as he's not used to the amount of games Liverpool play and will be buggered come the end of the season. As for the resting him for the league but playing that Carling Cup game, i've not got a clue what he was thinking there really. |

I suppose your comment on the high amount of games being played makes sense. His old club had a league and one cup to my knowledge. Whereas Liverpool have a league, 2 cups and the Champions League. My maths tells me almost double the games. No the wonder the international team is always tired and consistently under performing. |

I remember Jimmy saying that he played about 40 games last year and Liverpool would play about 60 this year if they do pretty good in the cups. The English team? Could be, what's Spain's excuse though?
