I know this thread must be ancient by now, but seeing as I'm new, I'll do it anyway. Location: Hervey Bay, QLD, Australia Team(s) that you support: Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Germany, Australia Why you support them: United cos me dad's from Manchester, and although he never followed football I set my allegiances to United before he even mentioned that he'd rathered city (although, he's from the days when you could support both and be alright). Couldn't very well change sides then, could I - Nick Hornby explains in Fever Pitch. Bayern Munich because that was the closest geographical team to my hometown. Favourite current player: Paul Scholes Favourite ex-player: George Best Something interesting: There is one corner left for me to hit on my car from backing out the driveway, but I've hit one twice, so it makes up for it :| |

Welcome Pete/Park, what do we call you?
I wonder why your Dad would rather support City? That's not on.

Is Collingwood, even though I can't stand the sport. Call me Pete or Peter. My football team referred to me as Parks, Parker, Parksy, Parkser... anything along those lines. Probably cos I turned up to most trainings with a United kit with my name on the back. I'm surprised no one's picked up that my name is almost Peter Parker, like Spiderman. That's often the first reference. Dad just preferred City because he liked the light blue. His dad preferred United though. |

Red is the colour for me. So he has no interest in football? I think you need to swap countries with him. <_<

How'd you mean? I'm only here because of him. We'll see if I get to keep my German citizenship for when I apply to become Australian. It's funny, I can become Australian as soon as I like now, but I have to apply and s**t to become Australian and stay German. The Aussie have no problem with it, it's just Ze Chermans. Weird, eh? So, if I get to keep my German citizenship then I can go over to England any time and work there, I think. |

I thought he lived in England still? Yeah it would probably be tricky coming over here for any length of time if you were just Australian. |

Nah, me dad's FROM Urmston, not IN Urmston. Flixton, if anyone's interested. I only came to Australia because of dad. We came over in '97 after my mum died. He started to feel that Germany was too foreign for him (even though he'd been there for 18 years) and decided that he couldn't raise happy children if he wasn't happy himself. Makes sense. We came here because his brother was here and he'd lived in Sydney in like the 70s. Wish we'd've moved there. That would've been cool. |

Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire... but I'm originally from Birmingham Team(s) that you support: Arsenal Why you support them: Thierry Henry's fine looks caught my eye.... Arsenal's football held my interest Favourite current player: Ooooh i dunno.... I'm still torn, I still love Henry but... well he's at Barca now and I know I should hate him and say Fabregas but...arrrggghhh! WHY DO YOU MAKE ME THINK ABOUT THIS???? Favourite ex-player: Zola, he's great Something interesting: I love strawberries but I hate almost everything strawberry flavoured. That's the first thing I thought of, sorry. |
