He has to stop slagging off the owners in public because if he continues then his job is on the line.

I dont see him stopping, he wants to make his point and he will, hes at the club everyday, there sitting in there board rooms across the pond. Though Rafa likes Liverpool and his family are happy here, he is very highly rated across Europe, and if they were to sack him, i think Madrid and Barca will be sniffing.

To be honest its never good to lose a manager in the middle of the season, so in that case i would say thats true. Liverpool Manager is one of the biggest jobs in the game, and they wont be short of candidates if he were to go. But like i said Rafa is well respected and wont have no problem finding a job.

Oh of course, people will be queing up to be the next manager but it will be a big disruption and could see the season implode whilst the new manager finds his feet. Not that I think he will leave...

I think the 2 CL games are massive, if Liverpool were to win those i cant see how they would sack him, but if they were to go out, and he continues to p*ss the owners off, then i think things may change. You have to remember football owners these days are big business men that tend to get their own way, and are normally surrounded by "Yes" men.

True, they wouldn't stand much messing.

I'd forgotten about the Champions League situation, do you think that's why they have told him to concentrate on training the players that he's got?

Without a doubt, if they were to win those 2 games i think he will get the money to buy Mascherano, but it will be tough, its going to be amazing on Wednesday, but away to Marseille will be tough.

I'm sure that Liverpool will make it through, again.

I'm siding with the owners here as well. It's no good Rafa asking for money when the transfer window isn't open, he should be concentrating on the team, then ask for it in January as there's nothing he can do with the money until then anyway.

Havn't the owners already said that they are coming over in December to talk through transfers, i really think this is just the media blowing this out of proportion as always

I think he is worried about losing Mascherano, hes only on loan, and you know what the guys who own him are like.

thats exactly what they have said. Statement on Sunday said despite what papers report they are still going to come over at the same time as previously stated to discuss the teams players for the future.

I see nothing at all in any of the reports that questions Rafa's stance at the club. I only see media outlets assuming that....

sadly the media love to spin and too many believe in what the media say though. Give it a few weeks and it'll blow over. We went through the same rubbish at the start of the summer. Most likely go through it again at the start of next summer.
