From what I recall Tuncay's goal was really good. On a personal note Tevez's goal was awesome

Santa Cruz's first goal. I only saw the top two and bottom two though. I can't see it winning goal of the month though. |

Got a last minute chance to go to Derby, 3rd time I've seen them this season! V Chelsea, at Old Trafford (got very wet) and again Saturday. Tuncay's goal looked fantastic live. If a home team had scored it the noise would have been sensational. But even with Boro scoring it most people were moved to point out how good a goal it was. Pretty sensational IMO, wonderful finish. But I echo Wee-Eck, Tevez's pleased me the most.

tbf I've only been there twice this season, the other was our home match. Yeah, they just haven't got enough to challenge other teams. They were always in the game so to speak but once they were 1:0 down you just knew that they'd be lucky to score one in reply let alone two. A team without confidence so sometimes when they get the chance to shoot most of them are still looking to lay it off to someone else, that's infuriating their supporters. Steve Howard came on and won every header and they looked a little more likely but they need a lot of luck or the odd goal out of nothing eg Miller's against newcastle. Steve Howard is great in the air, works his socks off but is not a PL footballer in any other sense. Earnshaw came on and looked very ordinary too, Miller was kept pretty quiet. Barnes went on one or two runs and one in particular when he beat several players and then shot from the edge of the box, but they reckon he's off to West Ham for Ł5m in January and most are okay with that. Andy Griffin played for 20 minutes until he got injured, boy is he useless. IMO Sunderalnd's low points record will go this season! |

Did Andy Griffin used to play for Stockport or another league 1 or 2 side? I'm sure i've heard his name before. It makes you wonder why Jewell went there as it could end up undoing all of the good work that he did with Wigan. |
