Ah dear, that could mean it's bad luck facing them in this competition.

Michael Ballack is expected to return tonight. I'm sure that will please you. :P

Yeah it's probably your best chance at beating them. Don't forget Carvalho is out too. That central defensive pairing have only played 1 and half games together so Liverpool should be able to see a way through.

Not sure if Lampard will play if Ballack does too.

seems it is, team is:

Itandje

Arbeloa Hobbs Carra Aurelio

Lucas Alonso Sissoko

Babel Crouch Voronin

subs - martin, hyypia, riise, el zhar, yossi

So the back line is pretty much as i thought but with carra in place of hyypia, lucas and alonso both start and babel makes up part of a three man front line. Rafa definately taking advantage of the large squad we have now.

yossi and el zhar can both play either wing, el zhar can play behind the strikers too. Hyypia is enough cover for the back, riise covers the back and left side too.

enough cover for this game, if we are losing i dont think rafa will be too bothered about trying too hard to change it towards the end.

El Zhar has impressed me with his pace,Yossi is creative but it would be great if Liverpool can get through by playing their second string team against an almost full strength Chelsea team.
