He looked quite decent at the weekend and you could see his old predator brain was getting back into gear again with a few of the runs he was making

with this run in the team he is going to get with Drogs injured and away at the ANC anyone else think he could regain some of his old form?

To be honest i don't think so. Drogba never really held him back. With his ability he should have been chelsea's best striker, but i think his best days are behind him.

i was just thinking possibly he needs a long run in the team (which i cant remember him having) to build up his form and to really get going

The next few weeks will tell but a replacement striker is top of the shopping list.

i disgree. sure he didnt have the best start but wasnt given a proper chance and a long run and its hurted him form wise. i dont think he will be sheve of milan but he will still provide chelsea another good option beside drogba

I think he's had enuff chances since mourinho left. There are midfielders in smaller clubs who've played as many games as him this season and scoring more than him!

If they played a 4-4-2 and had him up with Drogba more often then he may do more damage. Think he struggles to play up front on his own, never been a target man.

Roman wanted to take care of him personally and has done so. I think he's earning so much his life is made and so he's treading water until retirement. He may be slower than he once was but his problems are mental attitude, he really does look like a fighter who has lost his hunger and is now going through the motions.

I did think that he looked better against Arsenal and had that good shot saved by Almunia. His sharpness running wise seems to have improved a little bit.

There's still talent there, it's a question of whether he's really up for it anymore.
