red thru and thru.
is looking for barca or real to come in with a bid for him.
it seems that way from this article, and if he is he is out of order,if he isnt then he shouldnt have said anything.

Cristiano Ronaldo admits it would be a dream to play for a top Spanish club.

The Manchester United star says he is very happy at Old Trafford but is keen to ply his trade in the Primera Liga at some point in the future.

The 22-year-old was speaking after finishing third behind Kaka and Lionel Messi at the Fifa World Player of the Year awards in Zurich.

"I would like to play for a Spanish club one day - I don't know if it is possible, but it is my dream," said Ronaldo.

"Sometimes I want something and it's not possible. But this is my dream."

Convince

The Portuguese international was linked with a move to Real Madrid in 2006 but Sir Alex Ferguson managed to convince the attacking midfielder his future was in the Premier League.

But while he admitted he was enjoying life at United he longed to one day play in Spain.

He added: "It's a fantastic league where they play beautiful football, but I am convinced the English league is the most competitive in every aspect.

"I feel very comfortable in the English league; I think it's beautiful, and if I stay in Manchester that would be great for me - I love the club; I love the supporters, and it would be amazing for me to stay there for many years.

"But maybe one day, only God knows whether it will happen, I would like to play for a Spanish team and experience the difference."

is this an old article as he's said this before.

I can't see why any united fan would be annoyed at this as he's just telling the truth, most know that Ronaldo wont stay at united for his entire career and many are already resigned to knowing that he will probably go. But thats not going to be for a good few years yet. Its the same situation with Cesc Fabregas, he has openly admitted he wants to play in spain but again its not for a few years yet at least.

Bothing wrong with being open and honest

is this an old article as he's said this before.

That's what I was thinking.

It's common knowledge that he will leave one day but hopefully not for quite a few years yet.

its on sky sports now so im guessing its new.
and i know he would eventually go most foreigners do unless they are scandanavian ;) but it seems to me like he is fishing.
i think if utd won the CL this year he might go.
he does get a lot of stick over here ,and lets face it the lifestyle is better in spain or italy  and the weather.

He wants to be remembered as a Utd Great I think he'll leave before he's 30 but hopefully only just before. He'll finish this season aged 23, so 6 more after that! :D

This holy trinity up front we have has still loads of blossoming time.

Rooney age 22 ( 24th Oct 1985)
Ronaldo age 22 (5th Feb 1985)
Tevez age 23 (5th Feb 1984) same birthday as Cristiano

The reason SAF dismisses retirement is he just sees these three, already world class, having the potential to flourish into the world's best! I hope they do too! :D But more importantly I think these 3 players recognise how great they might become together!

I wouldn't put money on it as i've known it be done before. <_<

Not sure if the lifestyle here bothers him or not, I guess only Ronaldo could tell you that. His performances haven't gone down at least.

True Sense, have you noticed that Rooney and Ronaldo both play excellent together but when one of them is missing, the other isn't as good.

The last time he said this exact same thing, a month later he signed a new contract. Also, there's a very good sentence in that quote that if he really wanted to go he would have done it after the 2006 WC for obvious reasons.

So no I think he will be hear for another 5 years to age 28/29 and then make his move. Fair enuff, hats off for his honesty, it's better than not knowing at least when the time is near we can plan for it. But for now, just enjoy his brilliance wearing the red and black B) .
