He's right, look at what we bought in the Summer compared to the outgoings. I wish people wouldn't call us "Manchester" though.

Well technically in this country if you say United people assume Man Utd, unless you are somewhere where locality takes over eg Sheffield or (I presume) Bristol. It is clear that abroad they think of us as Manchester, the United element is an after thought. Maybe if City become a European force this will change, but most eurpoeans and even Americans refer to 'Manchester' usually on its own. Could Man City become the City, these days there is only them and Brum in the PL isn't there? |

Good point Ricky. Never thought of those. I guess Manchester is just an International standard name for United then because City aren't very good. <_< <_< |

But Italians refer to AC Milan as 'Milan' and Inter Milan as 'Inter'. Maybe if City do become a European force Utd will still be 'Manchester' and Man city will be 'Citeh' |

I thought Inter didnt actually have Milan in their official club name. Thought it was just Internazionale maybe Ricky can clarify this? |

Back to topic, I haven't seen Ronaldo quoted as using the word Manchester. He only said we are stronger this year, he also acknowledged Arsenal were playing great footy and that he definitely wouldn't be counting Liverpool and Chelsea out of the race. All in all very balanced. He acknowledged the main rivals and said we have a stronger squad this year. Very mature comment IMO. and in truth you can't argue because he is right! |
