So the front bridge wing has dissapeared, interesting, looks rather nice though. Pictures are resized from the orignal as the originals are blooddy massive.

most are, its rare you'll get a complete redesign, its just an evolution of a working model. In the case of McLarent here and the same as the ferrari released yesterday it appears that the main change is to the front wing |

in their case much required due to cars not performing as good as they can, in ferrari and Mclaren's case you have two cars that have been at the top of their game, they only need to alter minor things aesthetically to be up there again. Most will just evolve their cars from season to season, a complete redesign from the ground up is a much bigger task than just editing whats already there |

Fair point. Although the FW2003 2nd place team good performance and then the FW2004 was completely different from the predecessor. |

lets not forget that the rules changed fairly dramatically from 2003 to 2004 though that was the year that the rule of one engine per race weekend came into effect. Previously they had the option of replacing engines over the weekend without penalty. With that change some of the teams would have taken the chance to improve things with the way air flows through and over the engine, improvements to cooling systems and such all to ensure that the engine had the best chance of survival. Automatic gearboxes were removed as was launch control and also aerodynamics were changed to improve downforce too |
