Well done to Egypt. Just goes to show that playing as a unit and together is more important than fielding a team full of stars. Zidan isn't quite the player his near namesake was but he would do well in the Prem. Lucky Hamburg. |

Well done Egypt, defended their title like true champions. They beat the best teams and the favourites along the way. I used to see this Zidan's name (cos of his name) couple of seasons ago when he played for Mainz, always used to be scoring for them. Lost track of him since he moved to Hamburg. Also want to say how impressive the quality has been in the tournament as a whole. The ANC has come on leaps and bounds from what I saw 2 years ago. It was comical at times then, but now has been to a high standard. |

Somebody said that it's not been very good the other day Treble (I forget who ). What was the score in the final? Egypt again - I just don't associate them with a good team for some reason. |

1-0. Not a team full of superstars, but a 'team' all the same. They play as a unit and their forward men show a decent turn of pace. |

I had a feeling it was Jeffers or itsgunnabe.
:P That is Italy and Egypt then that show team-work is one of the most important things in football. With a solid defence, anything is possible. |

Agree with Skid, they played as a team and outplayed everyone (I think they won all their games in the tournament?) The tournament a couple of years ago was very poor in quality, lots of defensive mistakes, no passing, no tactics and that was in the knockout stages! I won't say its the beez neez but I thought the quality was much better than last time, especially in the knockouts. |

That ref was totally crap to be fair, Cameroon might have had a penalty had the ref been abit more useful. |

They probably did, I know they beat Cameroon 4-2 in the group and Angola 1-0 in the quarters. It should be good quality now with all of the players that are playing in the top European leagues. What are the viewing figures like for it? It seems quite a few watched it from here... |
