how come egypt rnt higher after winning the ACN 2 times in a row and camaroon and ghana r higher than them. i know theres a special way of workign it out but england have played 1 game since we lost to croatia and unless they have lost 3 like 3 0 then a 2 1 win over Switzerland isnt gonna make us change possition |

Just noticed Ghana 14th from 43rd, could understand it if they won the African Nations but they never even got to the final... |

ranking points = 100(result points X match status X opposition strength X regional strength X data multiplier) therefore a loss is automatically 0 as u times by result points match status friendly = 1.0 world cup continental cup qualifiers = 2.5 continental or confederations cup finals = 3.0 world cup finals = 4.0 Opposition strength = (200 - rank position)/100 regional strength Europe = 1.00 South America = 0.98 Asia = 0.85 Africa = 0.85 America = 0.85 Oceania = 0.85 (team 1 weighting + team 2 weighting)/2 Assessment period (only taken from last 4 years) last 12 months =1.0 12 - 24 months = 0.5 24 - 36 months = 0.3 36 - 48 moths = 0.2 |

basically if a team can drop alot of points if 5 years ago they had a really good season and it gets replaced with a crap one. so england must have done better over the last 4 years than croatia but croatia had a better year the one just before hand ths why they have dropped. this is also why on FM 08 iv got england over 2000 points clear at top of the world rankings as havent lost a game for 5 years :P |

Ghana must have not won a game for a whole year 5 years ago to suddenly jump from 43 to 14. i didnt know there was different levels on FM tbh the english players r the best in the world as they have the same stats as their club stats, when there international stats would be half of what their clubs ones would be for the majority. plus gerrard and lampard can play together some how so the 2 best midfeilders in the game owen is rearly injured (he has like 30 goals in the world cup now suck the ronaldo with ur 16) |

Probably didn't. It seems like they have only become a recognised decent footballing nation these past couple of years with the appearance of Essien, now Muntari. |
