I fancy Holland for it, but my head says Italy. Also makethat, just because your opinion on Puyol isn't strong you now think he is a weak link in the defence? As Dutch says, he has been solid at the back for Barca and is considered one of the best ever defenders and you think he is useless? Why?

Laugh it up... and thanks for answering to my point/question. <_< <_< I always see list of him in the top 100 players ever, just because you have a bad opinion of him why do not consider him good. Like I said always solid for Barca and Spain. |

Imo hes over-rated. When I've seen him I dont think hes been top class like some other defenders. I rate; Carra, Vidic, Rio, Terry, Carvalho, Ramos, Gallas and theres more higer than him. |

why do they keep him on then? I mean if he's really as bad as you seem to think, you would have thought that Barcelona would've gotten rid of him, wouldn't you? I rate Puyol , very much so. He is a brilliant defender, only thing you can maybe fault him for, is his desire to always search for a footballing solution, which, very rarely, backfires. It also means he's very good at building play up. If YOU don't like him. That's fine with me, but please don't say he's crap, cause he isn't. He would walk (at a leisurely pace) into most prem teams IMO. |

Why do they keep Valdes? Dont rate him either. Look, I'm allowed my opinion and if you don't agree with it then so be it. |

Valdes is indeed a weak spot. You definitely can have your own opinion (I said as much in my previous posts), but you were saying things about puyol without backing any of it up. As I said it's fine that you don't like him, but you're arguments weren't sound at all. I think it's healthier if we now agree to disagree. |

That's the problem. In a team like barca, decent doesn't really cut it. Yes he's a decent goalkeeper, but you might expect a great one at a club like barca. |

Really? Usually he is solid, but he's prone to make some bad mistakes every single season. Casilias is a bit more consistent IMO. BTW I'm not saying that he isn't a good goalkeeper, but I think that there are better ones out there, who could walk into the Barca team, like Gomes (PSV) for example. Only reason he's still in Holland, is that he loves living in Holland, and he loves PSV as well. A very loyal player. |
