Agree pretty much with the cut presuming there are no injuries. Rio though is a doubt for Sunday and if he doesn't play he won't be there for England next week.

This is the moment of truth for Capello who in my mind for the good of the national team, must pick Gerrard or Lampard NOT BOTH! With Barry or hargreaves playing DM

The only way you can play both is in a 5 man midfield leaving a lone striker and although I know Rooney can play that role it isn't playing to his strengths and none of our other strikers (in this squad) are the right sort of player either.

Hargreaves and Barry are both fuly fledged DMs. Carrick is a less capable DM but a better passer/interceptor but I presume Capello belives he has enough creativity. Also you must remember that most Italian teams have a full time DM.

Agree with you Sense, I've said all along that if we had a decent manager they would play either Gerrard or Lampard and have the other on the bench. That way you can change tactics in midfield by subbing one for the other if the game needs it. This would give England so much more variation BUT also I believe this is what any top international team like Italy, France, Germany etc would do, instead of bunging on all your best players and hoping for the best!

What happened in the last match with Gerrard and Lampard? Was Lampard out injured or am I remembering wrongly?

Woodgate and Young have to be in for me. They are two of the most inform players. Wheater, Upson, Beckham, Jenas, Downing, Walcott and SWP to be removed for me.

Why don't you want Crouch in the team? Has Upson been that good this season?

Beckham definetly won'tbe removed!! What the hell is the point of calling him up if you're not going to play him. Just mocking him.
