Fabio Capello has dropped Tottenham's Jermaine Jenas after reducing his squad from 30 to 23 ahead of Wednesday's friendly in France.

Gabriel Agbonlahor, Ashley Young, Shaun Wright-Phillips, David Wheater and Jermain Defoe are also out, while Scott Carson and Matthew Upson are injured.

Tottenham goalkeeper Paul Robinson comes in to replace Carson.

I'm glad he's dropped jenas, but a bit disappointed that Ashley Young and Jermaine Defoe have been omitted :(

Very disapointing about Young and Defoe, surely Owen or Crouch should be dropped before Defoe.

Maybe he still feels Owen and Crouch are the best suited to playing alongside Rooney?

Defoe has been on top goal scoring form, Crouch hasn't kicked a ball, it's shocking that he's dropped him, and Ashley Young has been the outstand left sided midfielder this season.

Disappointed that he's dropped Agbonlahor and Young for a shitter like Beckham. :fishing: Two of the players of the season and future England stars I believe. Even bloody Downing made it and Robinson called up.

Is Rob Green in the squad? I can't remember who the other keeper was after James.
