Good on him, a good decision imo and not because I'm a united fan. It'll also bring the best out of Rio, he'll rise even higher (if thats possible) to the challenge. B)

Don't think Terry's proved he is a good england captain (although he is at chelsea), and although I used to want Gerrard to have it I now believe gerrard should not be starting for england every game so that throws that out.

Good decision imo and I hope he gets it permanently. Terry has done bugger all and doesn't seem to have a very good attitude. England captain should be a role model on and off the pitch not somebody who p***es in a cup. <_<

 Where you got that picture from Treble? Jesus.

in view of his performances for the last couple of seasons for united when he has been immense i can't see the problem with him being england captain, it looks like cappello is trying out various options before commiting to one permanently

And for England too. He's been one of the most consistent and best players for them the past couple of years. Always outshines John Terry defensively...

(Liking the sig btw.)

If he's rotating captains, then I wonder who could be the next surprise.
Theres no doubt there's 3 he's definately going to rotate Gerrard, Terry, Rio, I wonder if he may give it to Owen for a game or even Beckham.
