Yeah they were getting bunched up in different areas of the pitch, 3 or 4 at a time, it was like "to me to you to me to you"

Did you see capello's interview before the match, he said the england players look frightened at times, unable to play with the same confidence for england as they do for their clubs. He needs to free them up in that sense too, and I think he's got that in mind.

Pathetic attempt of playing football! The Barnsley team could have created more chances and played with more passion.

Capello also asked the question why can't they play as they do in training. Shouldn't it really be why do they play like they are training?

Hello earth to all the England fans. Capello is REBUILDING the squad. That takes time and you're bound to get bad matches, that's why it's called rebuilding people. It is a work in progress. Anyway, what makes you think you could beat France, they are a top team, and on the current evidence (you not qualifying for the EC) England are NOT at the moment. You naysayers are almost as bad as newcastle fans who still believe they are title contenders, when their squad has needed rebuilding for ages. Give Fabio some time, it'll come good.

england had quite good ball retention in the first half. the system capello seems to want to play needs darren bent leading the line imo nobody else in england is capable of playin that role dean ashon could be a exception except he doesnt posses enough pace

Spot on! DB scored 20 league goals in 4-5-1 at Charlton to continue playingthat system he should lead the line. But imo yous should stick to 4-4-2 because Rooney is vital and playing him as the lone striker is stupid and all the other players play 4-4-2 for their clubs so stick to what they know!

i think the way he wants to play it will can only be darren bent leadin the line rooney in gerrard's postion last night with gerrard and carrick as holding midfielders. gerrard cnt attack well in international football he isnt smart enough.

The day England realises that international football is'nt anything like premiership football & then realise that they have'nt that many players suited to international football & pick the one's that are suited will be the day they start suceeding in it.

Wingers win you fork all at that level, move Rooney to the fantasia postion (ie, the classic no 10 role), start playing Carrick who can actually pass a ball & dictate the pace of the game, realise that maybe Lampard and Gerrard can't play together, etc etc.....
