same here, too many didnt seem to like it because of the ending, but the final scenes are more like an epilogue than the actual ending, the film finished much earlier.

he end was shite but i felt the movie its self left a lot to the imagination if you get what im sayin, im mean the creepy guy sitting in the room with your man missus then walkin out checkin his shoes, how he knew everything, how we didnt even see the main guy die and then when tommy lee jones is in the room and so is the other guy but he doesnt kill him or see him like wtf, but mabey i am just focusing on the negatives <_<

Chigur is one of the most chilling villains in a film since lecter, evil cupcake but also damn clever. The idea of not showing the death of llewelyn is so as not to give him a kind of "hero's" death, his death is inevitable throughout the film, from the start you can get the inkling he's not going to survice and by not actually showing it you get that feeling of inevitability confirmed.

The ending was utterly refreshing to me, thank fork we didnt get yet another Michael bay/spielberg et al ending, it leaves room for thought and interpretation, a talking point that to me makes the film a damn site better.

Add to that the film has incredible direction and looks fantastic throughout, in honesty its worth watching more than once so that you can get a better feel for whats really happening.

yeah i agree you didnt need to see the killing you knew he was a gonner, there was a sense of helplessness about it,Badram was magnificent, loved the script, the dialogue between tommy lee jones and his sidekick wendell was very funny at times, what i really enjoyed was watching a film that doesnt rely on dramatic music, the silence added to it

aye, its a great break from the norm of hollywood blockbusters. Tommy lee's character was excellent, caught in the middle of the whole thing, searching for the hunter and the hunted but knowing that its all bigger than he can imagine

It's a gangster film about 2 mafia crime families set in i think the 1920's america. The main character is played by Gabriel Byrne who is excellent as usual. Very good plot, will have you guessing to the end. There's a very famous scene from it where Byrne is sent to kill another character (played by John Turturro) and he takes him into the forest and Turturro knows he's gonna die. Acting is superb but just keep up with the plot. Quality film imo just describing it to you's making me wanna put it on.

BTW Raising Arizona was mentioned earlier, I didn't know it was Coen Brothers, but another good film. Funny and clever!
