quite dissapointed he had said anything, he should have kept it to himself or at least in the privacy of OT until the time came i hope this doesnt have a destabilising effect on the team |

I'm gonna miss him when he's gone. He's the only manager i've ever known at United.
Gill reccons Queiroz is in the driving seat to take over. |

How weird... I thought Ferguson had a deal with Satan to live forever... and stop ageing after 66 and 6 months...

not sure why this has made the papers. we knew he wouldnt retire now and at his age i mean he wasnt gonna be realistically managing in his 70's. lets pray they invent a anti ageing device for him

They have some anti-ageing cream at Boots. Gill likened Queiroz being appointed to the Liverpool team in the 70s and 80s where people were promoted from within. |

Hi madeinmanchester welcome to the football net or in my case the fools balls fish nets. Tbh i think your bang on about fergie, the only reason im getting the impression he feels he has to leave Man Utd is because he feels hes not spending enough time with the wife, with her approval he will still be there, its going to be difficult for him to leave such a superb squad hes assembled Ive said it before and i will say it again, he will leave old trafford in a box |

hi i hope hes there for many years to come he said a while back he will stay as long as his health permits i hope thats true he has been at ot that long i couldnt amagine what life after fergie would be like its a bit scary to be honest as he makes all the desisions from training to spending to managment so its more than just one team member that we lose when he goes new managers like to put there own stamp on things i for one dont fancy a change and i suppose the adjustments could effect the players aswell,i can see it being a turbulent time for all. there was an article a year or so ago compairing jose and fergie saying that jose only ever picked the team from a list of fit players and made in game desisions at chelsea? so it goe to show how important fergie is to us  |

Jeebus you are being a bit overdramatic about this... Even if fergie means it this time, there will still be 3 years to sort out his succesion, that should be plenty... Why would it unsettle the players at all? they know they'll have at least another three seasons out of fergie... |
