It's nearly Christmas
My player ratings for the United team over the course of the season, including all competitions. Scores out of 10.

Goalkeepers
Van Der Sar - 6 - Mistakes and injuries seem to be mounting up in his old age. Made some good stops but his kicking has been woeful. His last season next season, hope to see Foster replace him.
Krusty - 6 - Decent enough the few games that he's played. Seems to be getting better at catching the ball.

Defenders
Brown - 9 - A revelation at right back, deputising for the injured Neville and he's filled in seamlessly. Plus United's most used player this season.
Ferdinand - 10 - His best season in a United shirt and I rate him as the best defender in the Premiership this season, maybe even the world. Hopefully he wasn't just playing for his new contract and will keep up the same form next year.
Vidic - 9 - Solid again and usually wins everything in the air. Didn't score as many goals as last season and has had a few injuries.
Evra - 9 - Adds another attacking threat down the left with his runs and ability on the ball. Not put a foot wrong all season.
O'Shea - 7 - Filled in all over the place again and has done what was expected of him.
Silvestre - 6 - Out for the majority of the season but was decent when called upon, most importantly - no mistakes.

Midfielders
Ronaldo - 10 - Improved since last season when many thought that it wasn't possible. 40+ goals from playing on the wing 90% of the season, phenomenal and should be awarded Best player in the world.
Hargreaves - 7 - Not his biggest fan since he can't pass forwards but seems to have played better on the wing and at full-back. That's not what Fergie bought him for though so i'm not sure what's going to happen there.
Carrick - 8 - Probably the player that gets noticed the least in the United team because of his style of play. Does a good job for the team and works hard.
Scholes - 7 - A bit hit and miss this season after playing so excellent last year. Can't get into the box as much but at least he knows his limits. 25-30 games next season for himself and Giggs.
Anderson - 7 - Again a bit hit and miss but when he's on form he's brilliant. Only 19 so will get better and it looks like a bright future for him at the club. Would like to see his first goal sooner rather than later.
Fletcher - 6 - Out injured for long periods but did well when called upon. A vital squad member.
Giggs - 5 - I hate seeing him play crap and have lost count of the amount of times he loses the ball. Not good enough anymore. :(
Nani - 7 - Hit and miss, needs to improve his decision making. Saved by being top of the assists chart.
Park - 7 - Hard working again, does a good job for the team. Vital squad member.

Strikers
Rooney - 9 - United didn't lose a game when Rooney played, that speaks volumes about the job that he does for the team. May not be the much of a goalscorer but brings the best out of Ronaldo.
Tevez - 9 - Scored vital goals in his first season. Hope to see he same again next season.
Saha - 5 - The cripple, injured again most of the season. United counting on him to be fit and he's let them down.

What are your player ratings for your team?

The Pound For Pound Number One Widely Recognised As The Greatest Of All Time
Jose Reina - 8
-- Good season for him, picked up the golden glove award yet again and grabbed a few assists.

Charles Itandje - 5
-- Played a handful of games and was woeful in most, had one decent game against Chelsea at SB but other than that, poor.

Jamie Carragher - 8
-- Pretty solid season for Jamie, had a shaky start to the season but produced his best yet again.

Martin Skrtel - 8
-- After a less than impressive performance from him against Havant, the Slovakian has proved he wasn't just bought to cover the defence, he is now a stone wall first choice defender.

Daniel Agger - N/A
-- He had a great start to the season, was solid and composed, however a foot injury which never seemed to heal cost him the season.

Sami Hyypia - 7
-- After being told he would be used sparingly this season, Sami racked up over 30 appearances for the Reds, proving he isn't finished yet and can still dominate strikers.

Steve Finnan - 6
-- Not Steve's best season in a red shirt, has had to compete with Arbeloa for full back spot and has been beaten to the shirt on numerous occassions. Inuries never helped his cause either.

Alvaro Arbeloa - 6
-- Not bad for the Spaniard's first full season for the Reds, he wasn't amazing but he did a job that was needed, has now been included into the Spanish squad for the Euro's.

Fabio Aurelio - 7
-- Impressive season from the gifted Brazillian, his first goal for the Reds and solid displays led to him becoming first choice LB for Liverpool. Injury ended his season when he was needed most. (J.Riise O.G)

John Arne Riise - 5
-- Was once the most feared left back in the Premiership. Now after a poor poor poor season he looks to be on his way out of Anfield. Poor.

Pennant - 6
-- Not been picked enough but still lacks real quality when called upon.

Benayoun - 7
-- Good start to his Anfield Career, needs to play AM more often. 10+ goals.

Kuyt - 8
-- Found a new position, gives 100% no matter what, has been slated but he was an integral part of the 4-2-3-1 system.

Babel - 8
-- Inconsistent but real class has been shown and the potential of the young Dutchman is frightening.

Kewell - N/A
-- Injuries again, not fulfilled his potential

Lucas - 7
-- Not quite adjusted to the Premier League yet but his best is yet to come. Good prospect.

Mascherano - 9
-- Stunning work ethic and integral part of our team, a snip at £18,000,000.

Alonso - 7
-- Poor at times but regained some form late on, should not leave in the summer.

Gerrard - 9
-- Excellent again, 20+ goals for him yet again, formed a great partnership with Torres.

Voronin - 6
-- Had a great start to his Anfield career but poor displays and injury plagued his season. Does not deserve to be slated left, right and centre.

Crouch - 7
-- Good when involved but simply cannot get Rafa to pick him, likely to leave in the summer.

Torres - 10
-- What can be said about him, stunning simply stunning.

Reina-8: most clan sheet in the league this season(becoming the norm)
Itange - 4: dont think he played in the league(thank god) utter shite in the cup.

Finnan - 6:injured for a bit, usual solid self when fit and playing
Arbeloa - 6: filled in right across the back, better than last season
Hyppia - 7: nealy went to Fulham in the summer ws ex[ected as backup but did well after aggers injury.
Agger - ?: injured
Carragher - 8:getting on but still solid as a rock
Risse - 5: not his best season, very quiet
Aurelio - 6: came back well afte last seasons injury, good first full season

Pennant- 5:Unheard of this season, except when he tore fulham apart
Benayoun - 6: scored a few hat trick against shite teams oher wise uneventful
Gerrard - 9: Usual season
Mascherano - 8: one of the best DM in the world and showed it
Alonso - 6: injured and then slipped down the order, did well with mascherano when rafa tried his new formation
Lucas - 6: still only 19/20 decent first season that gave him limited chances
Babel - 6: nothing great athough hes only young, would expect more from him net season
Leto - 4: young but really no where near first team spot, looks like another paletta

Torres - 11 :D : 31 goals from open play in his first season in england, take a bow son
Kuyt - 7: 110% and looked good out on the wing
Crouch - 5: who

Rooney 7.5 at most.

Fletcher ought to have a higher rating than O'Shea.

From what i've seen of Liverpool I tend to agree with Monu. A few of yours should have higher ratings Pete, like Babel. He's been good from what i've seen but Rafa seems to be easing him in gently to Premiership life.

Why 7.5 for Rooney Scholes?
Ferdinand has been United's best defender by far makethat! The amount of times he's rescued us and he seems to have been playing on another level.

No way Vidic has been so much better than him, we struggle when he isnt in the side. He kept us inthe CL final.

Rooney is overrated and hasn't had a great season :P

I agree with Flak, Rio has been our second best player this season.

He hasn't had a great season. :o You don't think that he helps bring the best out of Ronaldo when they are both playing? I think Rooney's work ethic also inspires the rest of the team and gets them motivated to closing down the opposition faster.

Vidic was better last season, Ferdinand has been a class above this time round. He's not made any mistakes this season that I can remember. United didn't struggle that much without Vidic when Brown was in the centre and Hargreaves at right back. It was when they were messing about putting O'Shea there.

I kinda agree with scholesisthenucleus here... Rooney didn't have a great season for himself... He was injured for quite some time, and though he still was massive he scored less goals then he did in previous seasons... Rooney is not overrated though, I disagree on that... he's very very good... he had a decent season but not a great one (and I'm not talking about what the team achieved here, cause in that sense Rooney DID have a great season)

Working hard doesn't warrant a 9, quality does.

Dirk Kuyt works hard.
