Gerard Pique is set to return to Barcelona after the Spanish side reached an agreement with Manchester United. The defender opted to leave Camp Noua four years ago because he felt that he would have a better chance of breaking through at Old Trafford. However, he failed to establish himself as a regular in Sir Alex Ferguson's side and his opportunities continued to be limited this season due to the reliable central defensive partnership of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic. Pique rarely featured in the run-in as United sealed a European and domestic double, and was left out of the squad for the UEFA Champions League final. He has now decided it is time to move on and has agreed a four-year contract with Barcelona. The 21-year-old Spaniard, who scored two goals in the Champions League for United, is now expected to finalise his transfer over the next few days. clearing the way for Richards |

He will not be signing for united.... I CAN see him leaving (I hope he doesn't of course but to either arsenal or chelsea... He won't be off to united... Anyway I doubt that fergie wants to pay an over the top price for him (since that's what he's going to cost) actually the only club I can see spending big on him is chelsea...

City won't be selling to united though... They don't need to, why would they want to? |

I just saw it's on the official website.
"During his four-year Reds career, Piqué made 14 starts and nine substitute appearances." That is really poor, no wonder he's leaving. Fergie hasn't given him a chance. |

i dont think richards will leave man city. chelsea wont need him unless carvalho will leave and they wont sell him to us and arsenal wouldent spend much on him. |
