England coach Fabio Capello has confirmed seven of his squad will not be travelling to Trinidad & Tobago.

With a hectic Premier League season at an end, the Italian tactician has opted to give his Manchester United and Chelsea stars a chance to have an extended break.

That means the likes of John Terry, Ashley Cole, Frank Lampard, Wayne Rooney, Owen Hargreaves, Rio Ferdinand and Wes Brown are all likely to miss England's 10-hour flight to the Caribbean on Thursday.

"Seven players will stay here. The Chelsea and Manchester United players. They are finished for the season," he told Sky Sports News.

fair enough really, they aint had a chance to have a break really.

will mean we will see a few different players get their chance then by the look of it.

yeh it is a very slow pace, but the premiership is a very fast league

maybe the other team is slowing us down to there tempo

like when you play a poor team and for some reason they drag you down and stop you playing your game

the big question for me is why are england playing, usa and trinidad & tobago, while the usa are as well as playing england play argentina, is it a case of the english f.a. knowing england arent good enought to play the top nations so they arrange friendleys they can win, while the usa plan games where they will be tested to the limit and help them improve, i think its proof the f.a. need a complete clear out

It's nearly Christmas
The English teams don't play fast counter attacking football in the Champions League either because it doesn't work.

I'm glad that United's players are getting a rest. It's been a long season. Bridge must be staying since he's not played that much for Chelsea.

Yeah I don't know what they could learn playing against crud opponents.
