I've really no idea what Capello is going to do with the older squad members like Beckham. :S

If Cole was voted player of the year for Chelsea, they want their heads testing. He's been off form for a couple of months now.

Essien should have got player of the year for Chelsea.

J.Cole was good and showed his true class Vs. Spurs, his season faded after that.

Should have been Essien or Lampard. Both more consistant.

Essien went to ACN and Lampard was injured a few times so was never going to be either

cole's best posistion is a free role behind the strikers imo

i'd have though it was a free role, away from the england team, over rated cockney moron

Cappello system is going to be a typical Italian one. was at the game yesterday he was tring this

Lampard....Hargreaves...Beckham

................Gerrard...........

......Rooney...........Defoe......

if you look at the squad he has players who can replace these postions in the squad it looks like Cole will be battling Gerrard for the number 10 spot...

when on YTS at millwall I played against Joe Cole- he was unbelivable then- most skillfull player Ive ever played against- I am a striker so didnt try tackle him(not that I would get the ball) he was taking the p*** flicking it over peps, nutmegs the lot took at least 3-4 players to get the ball everytime we drew 4-4 he scored 2 and set 2 up, I scored to :). but it was obvious West Ham knew they had a gem

JC is better on the right than on the left, cant see Becks playing a major role in the WC qual, and as long as we can find a natural left sided player, JC would be better playing on the right for England.

Carvalho should have got the accolade, even in spite of missing a number of games. Chelsea's record was better with him in the side that without him. Consistent performer throughout the season.
