Liverpool's Riera Bid Rejected

Liverpool are believed to have tabled an offer of around 12million euros (£9.5million), plus Argentine defender Sebastian Leto, but that falls considerably short of the Primera Liga club's valuation.

"If a club wants to sign Riera then the price will be 24million euros (£19million), and that figure will not change."

That's a big price!

I don't either and you could definitely do better for the price what they want. If Liverpool are looking for a left winger then maybe Babel will be played more upfront next season. :S

Aye at price there talking bout is mad  Aye you could be right there and wouldn't mind seeing Babel upfront. But if Letos leaving and Kewells gone thats two left wingers so maybe hes just bringing someone in to cover.

Bloody expensive cover though.

Unless Babel played in both positions, left wing when Riera's out and upfront when he's in.

It says Leto is a defender in the article. :S

Wouldn't that mean a change in formation though? Liverpool seem to have found a winning one with the 4-5-1.
