OK I'm gonna sound a bit of a cynic here, but doesn't it just look like they're living off the plot of the first one? I mean it's a revenge film for Bond over the woman who died in the previous film which kinda makes me think they're afraid to venture into new territory. I'm sure it will be tough, rough, on the edge stuff just like Casino, but there's nothing original. This has been done before with License To Kill. I will ofcourse watch it nevertheless , but I want to see what they'll do with a completely fresh storyline...

It's nearly Christmas

The action looks good but there's something that makes me not like Bond films as much as others. I can't quite put my finger on it.

When has a Bond script even been completely original? Also it seems that the revenge bit gets caught up in a bigger secret organisation.... |

I knew you were gonna say that I don't mean an original script cos they're no longer original, I meant a completely new story which has nothing to do with his previous one. I can see the revenge bit is part of a bigger criminal organisation, BUT he''s still not being sent on an official mission, ie. he's going off his own back. And that's already been done in License To Kill. That's why I want to see what the film makers do with a new mission he gets sent on by MI5. That's when I think we'll see whether the films maintain that cutting edge or whether they become clones of previous Bonds. |
