I don't think he'd take it, he'd be mad to now when he is almost guaranteed to take over at OT within 2 years. If he took the position he'd be more than likely contracted to 4 years minimum and the chance of the Utd job would pass him by. Fergie and Utd were very fair to him when the Real job came up as they knew it was too good of an opportunity for him to pass up and when it didn't pan out they welcomed him back, not so sure they would do the same now.

I'm not too sure about that Stacie, i think the lure of managing Utd or any other top club would be greater than managing the National side. I think thats why Wenger has never managed the French, or Fergie the Scottish. Plus realistically if he did take the Portugal job,he is ruling himself out of the Utd job and depending on how the new manager does im not sure he would ever get the chance again.
