Argentina, Brazil, Spain, Portugal, France, Netherlands, and Spain all have more talent than England.

They can have all of the talent in the world but if there's no teamwork there then they aren't going to win anything.

Why would top 4 clubs (or even the top 8) buy English goalkeepers if they can find better (and cheaper) ones elsewhere?

They all seem to have a better sense of teamwork than England too. It's not as if our players are all way inferior so we have to be falling down somewhere.

We play the biggest 11 names usually not the best team but that has seemed to change with Capello with Young, Bentley and even Jenas getting given some playing time.

Everywhere. They can't even make simple passes half of the time.

Right now I don't think the goalkeepers are cheap anywhere. If anything, the english keepers are probably cheaper.

At least the clubs in the top 4 or 6 have english outfield players but they don't have english goalies. Basically what the top 4 - 6 teams are doing with the goalies is no different to what arsenal do with the rest of their team when it comes to english players.

not enough quality goalkeepers. There aren't even enough quality English outfield players for the top 6 or 7 clubs, let alone goalies

It's a catch 22 situation, the bigger clubs don't wanna take the risk, but until english goalies are given the chance in the top teams behind the best defences how can they improve?

As it stands at the minute, which of them do you think are good enough to be first choice for a top 4 team? :S

I'm not saying every single one of the top 4 should have an english goalie but I would certainly compare them with the weakest out the top 4 atm, Almunia who I don't believe is better than Carson, Kirkland or Green. Kuszcak is 2nd choice keeper not Foster who I think should be, and why not promote english 2nd choice keepers at liverpool and chelsea instead of the extortionate amount they're paying Cudicini the mercenary.

Even tho the gulf in the standard of football has remained between England and the rest of the world, one thing during all that time was that England produced some of the best goalies in the world, that has now gone with Seaman being the last imo, and he happened to play for a top 4 club.

Wenger mustn't agree with you about Carson being better than Almunia otherwise he wouldn't be in negotiations with Stoke. Kirkland has hard too many injury problems for a top 4 team to take a risk on him. Green is pretty good, at least he always is against Arsenal anyway. For some reason, he's never picked for England though??? Foster might be number 2 next season now that he's back from injury.

Even as second choice goalkeeper it's a big risk promoting from within as the 1st choice could get injured and be out for 6 months at any given moment.
