Tainio confirmed as having signed for Sunderland and Kaboul has agreed terms (thought Pompey wanted him?), will they improve Sunderland though? I'm not so sure, maybe they will thrive at a smaller club where they will get more playing time.

Definitely NOT a Terrorist
he is big, strong, quick but lacked a huge deal of confidence. he was the french under 21 captain and was immense in the under 21 euro they did a while ago.

i think they will improve sunderland a lot as all 4 they signed are better than what sunderland have already
no

They have signed all 4? I've only heard those 2 being confirmed.

Kaboul looks more like a defensive midfielder to me than a centre back.

I think all 4 are great signings, i cant think of many 2nd season prem teams signing not over the hill players with potential like this, and I hope they do immensly for Keane. Obv if they fail it will be seen as alot of cash wasted. But i seem to remember the papers slating Keane for spending X amount on 6-7 players last season when they were struggling, and I was like, uh bad move, then they survive and not only that on their day for what they are were decent. So I hope this all works out again and they finish higher and higher and Keane gets more and more respect.

Could be a clever move IMO, players in first team squad but just on the wrong edge of playing regularly at a top team. If they have ambition they'll be desperate to show that they can perform in the PL. Keane comes along and says show me that you want it, can hack it and you'll be playing regularly in the PL. if I was in that position I'd take it.

Keane and Sunderland have been left dangling after Villa put in a bid for Kaboul at the 11th hour. :o He will probably end up going Villa now...

The problem with last seasons signings was more to do with the price that they paid for average players.

ya best protect ya neck
they still need someone to create goals for them. Malbranque would be a good signing

Dunno but it's happened. So long as the deal isn't finalised (medical and signed on the dotted line) then I guess he can still talk to other clubs.

I thought Malbranque was pretty good last year. Surprised he could be leaving.
