arent you over 50s sense? at your age you shouldent spend ages looking at  people posts in the internet and pick on them when they seems funny to you :moon:

a question to liverpool fans here : where do you think keane will play if he would join liverpool? his position is second striker but that where gerrard played this year..

Anvil, I am not over 50 and I greatly admire your command of English, which is not your first language, but sometimes you do express yourself in a non-deliberate but amusing way. Culturally we Brits do take the p1ss out of each other, it is not meant to be insulting, indeed best friends are frequently ruthless and rude to each other but no offence is taken.

I read your response and immediately imagined it being said by Yoda. Pointing that out to others was clearly amusing, but the amusement was not meant to be at your expense. It just was funny.

I speak a couple of languages conversationally, but I couldn't join a forum and make the sort of insightful observations and contribution you make in this one in another language. So respect to you, please don't take offence.

Although I am not a Liverpool fan, I think Keane will be played as a second striker with Gerrard being an attacking CM, or even given a more free/fluid role. To counter this Mascherano will be key as a holding DM behind him, affording him this freedom. Defenders will be very much that, with emphasis on 'defend' because personally I think it will then be Babbel and Kuyt out wide, because that would give Liverpool the element of, 'sh1t, who do we have to concentrate on to stop them scoring?' with opposing teams.

Imagine having to stop Torres, Keane, Gerrard, Babbel and Kuyt, not many teams will be up to the task, IMO. If they added a truly class RW as well they would have a very impressive line up. For a more defensive set up Alonso comes in for Babbel (or Kuyt) and Gerrard plays a bit more structured midfield role, but it still gives you a Torres/Keane forward line.

everyone in this forum make funny things without intending to do so. pointing a mistake is childish. esp for someone as mature as you who seem to take himself seriously and rarely write things without putting a major thoughts into it.

i think this could be the signing to spur us on this season. i agree that our attacking line will be formidable to most defenses next season.

i am glad that we have found are selves a worthy no 10 unlike the guy thats wearing that shirt now. he will be used in 1 of 3 positions. second striker, right wing forward and striker. as for gerrard he will probably play further back in cm or on the right imo.

i dont think we need a right winger just an wide attacking player. silva would be ideal because he and babel could interchange, i kno they dont go outside there men much but cutting in they would be deadly and the width would be provided by the full backs

people said that about united back in the 70's and 80's but things change, the future is unwritten and the power can easily shift over time. Whilst I dont think we will win the league next season I certainly believe we can do it in the future.

Any fees been rumoured yet? I think that Gerrard will be chopped and changed between the wing and central midield if Liverpool land Keane. Swapping with Babel and Mash or Alonso. I expect Keane to play where Gerrard did last season in the same formation.

dont get ahead of yourself. if your getting the no 7 shirt you will have to get silva on it because keane will be wearing no 10 :D

anvil, i think we need a wide player but i dont necessarily think he needs to be a right footed right winger. someone like silva as i have said in previous posts would be ideal because he and babel could interchange during the match

rumour is that its going to be the number 7 but obviously that needs to be confirmed yet. Would like to see him have the 7 and someone like Silva (on the outside chance we get him) wear the 10 shirt. Much prefer someone like Keane take Dalglish's number :)

Either way this will probably be the first season in a while that I have bought a team shirt and it will certainly be one with Keane on the back :)
