Saha is a class player, no doubt about that, in fact you watch him and you don't get a real idea of which is his strongest foot, he's that two footed which is great, add in his speed and he can run past a player on either side and shoot with whichever foot is best suited. He also has a tremendous work ethic, he'll always be under the ball challenging for the long punt up field, unlike many target men who only move if it's in a 10 yard radius of where they're standing. He's also good in the air.

The downside really is his suceptability to injury and probably his unwillingness to play if not 100% which means he's rarely available.

3 seasons ago when RVN was having a mardi, Saha was teamed with Rooney up front and in honesty they became my first choice striking partnership....very effective! He offered more than RVN, except the incredible goals to game ratio, but RVN got that through only running inside channels and not chasing balls out wide or in the air.

A fit Saha is definitely still worth £10m, IMO.

a fully fit saha is as good as torres

"In his final season at Fulham he contributed fifteen goals in only 22 appearances before leaving in the winter transfer window." he then scored 7 goals in the 10 appearances for united after that

think he did similar 2 seasons ago but got injured at Christmas

im always amazed how he pulls long balls out of the air when surrounded by defenders. he will always kill the ball and then get bundled over and draw a foul
