Utaka was on the wing from the start of the season.

They probably couldn't afford both though. I wonder if they will go after a striker with that young lad in the reserves anyway.

I can`t believe that Moyes would let AJ go if he wasn`t pretty certain that he had a replacement lined up.

Any ideas on who Zappa? There's a shortage of good strikers out there at the minute. I thought that he might partner Yakubu with Timmy C.

Seems to be out of Gabriel Milito or Darren Bent at the moment Flak. I don`t really fancy Milito, but Bent could be a good signing if the fee is ok. He seems to me to be able to do everything AJ did,i.e. work tirelessly for the team, put himself about a bit etc, while being a better finisher.

I only saw Millito play twice for Zaragoza and he scored in both games but that was two seasons ago and I hear that he wasn't that good last season.

Bent would be a great signing for Everton, i'm not sure if Spurs would let him go now though with only having two strikers.

The thing about Moyes is he prefers playing 1 striker with a midfielder, usually Cahill, getting forward in support. If a high profile striker like Bent,we`d either have to change a system which has been very successful for us,or keep him or the Yak on the bench.

I doubt that either of them would be happy on the bench. Maybe that's why he is after Moutinho to play as the attacking midfielder?

We still need another striker. We`ve got some decent young ones like Anichebe,Vaughan and Luca Jutkiewicz but no one with real experience. I do think Moutinho would be a fantastic signing though.

Anichebe would be alright if he's playing with Cahill I reckon. Anichebe and Yakubu don't really compliment each other too well from what i've seen. Would be good having an experienced backup to Yakubu but would it just stop the young lads getting their chance?

 And look how wrong he was with that quote.

It's only one kid though, the rest of the team are quite a bit older. I don't think that it'd do too much harm so long as you aren't relying on them for long periods of time.
