Blackburn Rovers have confirmed they are in negotiations with Tottenham over the possible sale of David Bentley. But chairman John Williams has told BBC Radio Lancashire the club have yet to accept a bid for the England winger" bbc website Good move for Spurs should they sign him? |

he would be a good signing, he will get regular first team football but do spurs really need another right winger? |

yes they got lennon but is he good enough to get them to where spurs want to be? can see what ramos is doing. bringin in santos, modric, gomes, flogging decent players in chimbonda, robinson, tanio with more on the way out. |

he has brought in some decent players especially in modric. its going to be an interesting season for spurs. they need a new striker more than they need bentley imo |

it all depends on their defense. if king and woodgate can stay fit for most of the season they should have a good year |

A midfielder who also played upfront during his time at Arsenal. He will play on the wing at spurs tho. They have Bent, Berbatov can't be going if they are spending the money on a midfielder either. |

More likely that Lennon would be used in a part-ex I reckon. He'd be a good buy for Spurs if they have a big target man upfront. I thought that they'd be buying a defensive midfielder or striker though rather than another winger. |

Deal should be wrapped up today. Blackburn should be getting around £17 million. No part ex involved. Arsenal will receive a % of which im not sure the amount Pennant is a target for Rovers which i find pretty disgusting really (apparently top of our list). Much rather we move for Lennon, SWP or look abroad. Im gutted Bentley is leaving, but its better for the club. He is starting to cause disruption in the squad, faking injuries, being interviewed by Sky TV when drunk. £17 million is a great deal tbh I wish him luck, hope he becomes a better player for Englands sake more than anything |
