no about the formation. How can you possibly agree with playing Rooney upfront on his own? |

Idk i just think that we will see Gerrard move into the position he did for Liverpool last season and he could link up well with Rooney. <_<

We are not!!! We are the best Its just when we created the game we thought we would let everyone else win otherwise they wouldn't want to play and we can't get rid of the bloody habit.

If Rooney plays lone striker England are forked. It takes alot away from Rooney. He is best playing off someone. |

Trouble is that if you play Rooney as a support striker, it stifles the other players who like to get forwards as they all get in each others way. |

I think Bent is good but i think we should play our best finisher and that is Defoe. Anyway Bent isn't in the squad and Defoe is and i was on about tonights game :P |

Yes I've read that this is the expected line-up but quite honestly I'm underwhelmed. I'm happy that Beckhma has his 100 caps but we can't be considering him for WC. This friendly should be about testing a couple of players such as Agbonlahor, IMO, who I know isn't in the squad. I imagine he was going to give Ashton a chance to lead the line, but Rooney on his own as the front man doesn't work, his best position is second striker. Instead we sacrifice a striker to play Barry so we can accomodate Lamps and Gerrard in the same team.......same old same old! And even with a 5 man midfield (on this prediction) we still haven't picked a person who will take the opposition on. Downing is not International class, he doesn't dribble he kicks it forward 5m towards the corner flag and chases after it. tbh he's too easy to read at this level and not phenomenally quick so his impact is severely limited (IMO). I'd prefer to see A. Young or J. Cole given a chance. plus if Beckham is playing, and quite honestly I'm not sure why, then we could pick someone at RFB with more attacking credibility than Brown, is Richards injured? |
