Hopefully this link will work, Donington Park have submitted plans to modernise the track to bring it up to Bernie Eccleston standards.

You can see the extension, a loop going into the centre, which makes it a 2.9 mile track and gives them a lap time of 1'20" which is the basic minimum required. You also see two links which would gives them the opportunity of having a 1.2 mile track and a 1.7 mile track thereby able to hold two different events at the same time.
