I care... Cup footie is very great because it's so unpredictable... The CC might not be the most inspiring prize on offer, but I just love cup ties...

I'm not too fussed about it either, like mumanc said already it's just an opportunity to give the kids a run out and see how they handle it. Getting to the final or whatever is just a bonus.

it is nice to win the Carling Cup also are you suggesting that bc the FA Cup is more important that we stop playing the CC.. if that is your logic perhaps we should stop playing in the FA cup bc that is not as important as the league or the CL?

no dont put words into my mouth, and dont get on your high horse its my opinion if you dont like it dont read my threads <_<

i am saying the FA cup is promoted better, and has more prestige, the carling cup has become a bit of a farse, its not only the top four that put kids out, alot of teams dont put out there first team.

The Carling Cup will always be the last thought in clubs minds besides maybe the lower league clubs. The Premiership is much more important to concentrate on.

Doesn't make the cup draws any less unpredictable though... and that unpredictability (is that even a word?) is what is so great about cup footie

I do like cup football don't get me wrong, it's just the players that the teams put out make it seem worthless. I guess the managers put out the teams that they think can win but it's just not the same really. They seem to treat the FA Cup with a bit more respect.

Yeah it's a word. :P

If you look at how their youngsters performed... there isn't all that much of a difference

I think that the first team have three chances every season to win something  It's not that I think it's not important for the seniors but I really love the idea of the youths having something big they can enjoy through a part of the season.
