He wasn't that bad last season and Diaby has most been played on the left so he should get a chance at DM before we really judge him as a player who can/can't play DM for us.

Wenger showed a lack of faith in Diarra and never really gave him a chance in his proper position, he made the right decision (at the time) leaving I think.

Hmmm... I wouldn't call buying a player a 'lack of faith', personally. Perhaps not playing him for a season or two, yeah. But Diarra didn't stick around long enough to find out. He'd only been there a few months.

left? wasnt it right? :S

he played a few games as a dm last year and wasnt good there. he have no chance to become the dm now with denilson playing so well. get the feeling wenger rate song and ramsey higher then him too.

I'm sure it was the left becuase he scored a goal aggainst Derby and he took 6 touches on his right foot cutting in side and Derby defended it so poor i couldn't stop laughing.

Diaby did not play DM last season  Flamini missed hardly any games and the ones he did Gilberto started instead. Diaby didn't get a single chance at DM. Denilson is playing very well but after a preformance like Hull you never know what changed could be made. I don't think Song or Ramsey are ahead of him its just that Diaby has been injured all season so far.

But Wenger must have told Diarra that he was going to get games when he signed him otherwise I don't think he'd have left Chelsea to go there.

I could have sworn he played a few games at right back...

he probably play both sides becuse i remember someone saying diaby was playing right last year.

diaby is too slow and hold the ball way too much and cant tackle.

Hleb played on th right all season so i don't think Diaby did play there.

Diaby is not slow he is actuall quite fast but yah he does take too much time on the ball and his tackling is good one minute and terrible the next.

hleb played in a few positions last season. left, right and in the hole. <_<

eboue played on the right often and walcott, diaby played a few times there.

i think he will suit seria a club. it will suit his style

Diaby did not play on the right. He was only used on the left.

Do we know his style of play? He hasn't been given a chance at DM so untill he does a judgement can't really be passed imo.

Anvil if you think he is not fast enough you can't ever have seen him play. :moon: He is good tackler just a bit reckless at times. Yah he does take to much time on the ball but thqat can be sorted out. <_<

im not the only who thinks so. i visit arsenal forums regulery and read arsenal fans posts and alot of fans think diaby is slow and that he cant tackle. everything can be sorted out but would he been given a chance to play in the first team and improve this areas when you have a player who suit the team better,a better player?

No it wasn't Wenger who told him that, that's what Diarra said was the problem. He was obviously led to believe that by someone, but Diarra said it hadn't come from Wenger.

Diarra played well at CM for us and I felt bad for him but he was impatient, unwilling to accept that another player was as strong as he was in his position and not prepared to give it a whole season. Everyone knows how things can change between seasons.

Fair play to him for leaving for regular football but if you join a top club you should be prepared to earn a place rather than be gifted one, imo.
