hughes for me. he did pretty well with an average wales side, went to blackburn and sorted out a side that had been to some degree decimated by souness. also he has a brilliant track record in the transfer market. going to city has cost him the chance to manage utd tho

keane is a close 2nd, he may not have the same nouce in the transfer market as the other 2 but he has done wonders at sunderland, taking them from the brink of relegation to an established premiership. future utd manager in my eyes

bruce is a solid enough manager but apart from his ability in the transfer market he lacks the tactical knowledge to be a top club manager

Not sure about that. United fans would probably still like him but City fans wouldn't I don't think. It would depend on what happened whilst he's at City really, how good he does with them...he might not even want to leave there when Fergie eventually retires.
