Personally I don't think I'd want Arsenal to miss a penalty on purpose because a dodgy decision could later go against them. And if the opposition is later given the chance, what if they're not as generous?

True but I was arguining more about Ronaldo being an honest bloke, he might not have wanted the penalty but he still took it and scored.

Oh and Scholes, it's called having an opinion. <_<

Your not allowed opinions anymore flak <_<

And I thought exactly the same. The lad would of gone down in history with the likes of dicanio if he did that :D

If you go down in history then do it legitimately, not solely to enhance your image.

Very professional to put the kick away, a lesser professional knowing it should'nt have been awarded may have missed on purpose or even may have put it in and not celebrated. Viva Ronaldo  :fishing:

Got to agree, if they knew it wasn't a penalty then they should have just rolled it to the keeper or missed on purpose. Maybe Ronaldo would have done if United were already winning...

Absolute bollocks I'm afraid.

You take every stroke of luck that comes to you in this league. Poor decisions are made frequently throughout games.

why? becuse its not your opinion?

IRIR youre posting crap often and no one call your posts bollox yet youre doing it to people on here who posts good stuff.

you need to calm down and respect diffrent opinions to yours instead branding them s**t or bollox.

“The trouble with referees is that they know the rules, but they do not know the game.”
honest is not a word i would use to describe ronaldo tbh. he probably just said that because he does not want to cause any more trouble than he has already :P

Could backfire on United though. May find it harder to get a penalty at OT again untill at least October with the controvesy surrounding this one.

there seems to be alot of mistakes being made by refs this season, and its only a few wks old  .

IMO it wont be long before video evidence is brought in,TBH the game is to fast for refs and linesman these days.

its only over the past coule of weeks they have started to make mistakes. before the international break they had not made that many really

i think goal line technology should be used sooner rather than later
