I rate Carrick, good player, but the praise he's got in recent weeks is the reason for his selection, commentators making out he's a wizard when he's not.
i agree, good player. at the moment he is being consistent which is key for me though. if he can keep it up he stepped up his game from last season

Yes but Ade did much more team work and doesn't disappear in games like Torres. I would exchange that for 3 goals any day...

You've had the Adebayor debate on the other threads before...the chance conversion rate being misleading is one of the points made...Adebayor's ability to gain more chances than most strikers was another point made....it went round in cirlces until page 17.

torres closes down and makes space for other players. he scores more than adbeayor while taking no pens in less games and gets the same assists nearly.

he runs at defenders to pressure them to get the ball back for the team. what more can you ask. this season ebfore he got injured his link up play improved and he was creating chances for team mates. infact in his last game he created the goal.

Adebayor is a far better passer, holds the ball up better, works harder, and plays better in big games.

no he doesnt work harder

torres plays as a lone striker and does what he needs to in big games and that is finding space to score and link up with gerrard which he does. you are not making good points to back up your claims....

You have no proof of his Assists yet you say he got the same ammount.

espn, look up adebayor and torres. torres less games, no pens = more goals and 1 less assist

maybe one day if adebayor can become as clinical as torres he may become as good

What point have you made to back up your claim? There is no way I can prove over an internet forum that Ade is a much better team player and gets involved in team play more than Torres whilst scoring a very similar amount of goals. You simply have to watch both players play a lot, which I have. Last season I was waxing lyrical about Torres, but I hadn't seen him play that often. But later in the season and up until this season I watched him much more closely and he is not that great a team player. A world class player though.

I won't agree to disagree. I won't except the Adebayor hate on this forum. If anything he is underrated.

Time for some dinner :)

Yah I have seen him do that but so does Adebayor. IMO Adebayors link up play is better aswell as his hold up play.

No he isn't. :moon:

Maybe. <_<
